Being a new mom has its challenges.

Sometimes you have to give up on some things, not forever, but just for the time being.

I know that after having Sebastian, life was going to change before you know it. There's staying up late, staying at home, not working, not only days where there's getting dressed, but preparing baby bags before leaving to go outdoors, and not hearing from many people who I used to talk to…it's hard. Even though things are put off for awhile, while raising a newborn/infant, there are times where I can have some free time to myself. For those who have been reading my blog not so long ago, I am in college, obtaining my associates in graphic arts online. As a full-time college student, in the beginning it was hard, trying to get use to a routine involving a new baby. I basically skipped a whole course since my child comes first. It was totally frustrating!

I've been told that "your time will come…". Instead of me taking a break from school when knowing there was a newborn coming. Sometimes it's best to take one step at a time. I didn't like it, but it was totally worth it. I talked to my advisors and instructor, worked on my daily routine to figure out when do I have time for school, later decided to retake the course (in order to pass), and it was the best decision ever! Not only I felt comfortable afterwards, but I felt even more prepared! I am back up in my classes, Sebastian and I are healthier than ever, and I will be getting my degree, next month!
